In short: the Kyvyo app doesn’t collect any data about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. What you browse stays on your iPhone or iPad.

Dark Mode

Dark Mode changes the colors of the pages you open, right on your device. It doesn’t store or send the pages you visit or your browsing history.

When you turn it on, Safari shows the warning “This extension can read and alter webpages you visit and see your browsing history”. Safari shows this warning for every extension that changes how websites look, because changing colors means changing the page. Kyvyo uses that access only to change colors.

Ad Blocker and Pop-up Blocker

The two blockers only give Safari a list of what to hide. Safari applies the list by itself, and the blockers never see the pages you open. That’s why they don’t ask for the permission Dark Mode needs.

Your settings

Your appearance choice and the websites where you paused an extension are saved only on your device, shared between the Kyvyo app and its extensions. They’re deleted when you delete the app.

Block list updates

To keep blocking up to date, the app downloads new lists from lists.kyvyo.com up to twice a day. The request carries no account, no identifier and nothing about what you browse: every device downloads the same files. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, needs your IP address to deliver the files, as with any website, and we don’t use it to identify anyone.

Support emails

If you write to support@kyvyo.com, or use “Contact Support” or “Report a Problem with This Site”, we receive your email address and what you choose to send. The email the app prepares shows everything before you send it: device model, iOS and app versions, language, the state of the three extensions and, when you report a website, its address. We use this only to answer you and delete it when it’s no longer needed.

This website

kyvyo.com uses no cookies. To count visits, it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t follow people across websites and doesn’t identify visitors: it only counts, in aggregate, pages viewed, the referring site, the country, the type of device and browser, and how fast the pages load. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs to deliver and protect the site. None of this applies to the Kyvyo app, which has no analytics.

Children

Kyvyo doesn’t collect data from anyone, including children.

Your choices

Since we don’t keep data about you, there’s nothing to download or delete, apart from support emails. To have yours deleted, write to support@kyvyo.com.

Changes

If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
